Category is an OPTIONAL instrument attribute and is used to filter the instrument list in a personalized way.
You can assign a category to the instrument from instrument configuration (Overcharts main window > Instruments Tab).
Access category list #
You can access category list in one of the following ways:
1. From Overcharts main window > Instruments Tab > Categories button
2. From Overcharts main window > Instruments menu > Categories
Create or Modify a category #
To create/modify a category:
1. Access category list
2. Select the category to edit and press Edit button, or press New button to create a new category
3. Set or change the following properties:
Name: category unique name

From Overcharts main window > Instruments Tab > Combo-box at the top left:
- Select Custom Category item:
